The levels distinguish themselves by driving assists and physics. Players are allowed to change the difficulty level at any time in Need for Speed: Shift. The title will suggest a difficulty level for the player depending on their performance within the Brands Hatch race. The player is tasked with driving a BMW M3 (E92) on a two lap course of Brands Hatch at the beginning of the title.
